Business Development Manager
Starting January 2026 – Sydney (Hybrid)
Cyber security is booming. Boards and executives are under pressure, risk is increasing, and organisations are looking for trusted partners who can help them make sense of it all.
That’s where Morrisec comes in.
We’re a specialist cyber governance, risk and compliance consultancy with our own eGRC platform. Our reputation is strong, our close rate is exceptional, and demand is growing fast. We’re now looking for a Business Development Manager to help us scale, starting in January.

About Morrisec
We help organisations build practical, risk-based cyber governance and compliance – and we back it with our own MRP platform so it actually sticks.
A few things that make this role stand out:
- New dedicated office (from end of January) – We’re moving into our own space with a large conference room and breakout areas designed specifically for breakfast briefings, roundtables, and small events with clients and prospects. This isn’t an afterthought – events are a key part of our growth plan.
- Built-in support team – You won’t be doing everything alone. We already have a strong account manager focused on looking after existing clients, and a marketing specialist to support campaigns, content and events. Your job is to drive growth – not to juggle everyone else’s workload.
- Conferences & “target-rich” environments – We’re already booked into multiple conferences with booths, specifically chosen because they’re C-level focused – exactly where our target buyers are. You’ll be part of planning how we show up, who we meet, and how we convert those conversations into pipeline.
- Real differentiation – We’re not an IT provider. We’re a specialist GRC consultancy with deep expertise and our own platform. That makes conversations with executives much more strategic and much less commoditised.

You’re not being asked to “fix a broken funnel”. You’re coming in to scale what’s already working.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will:

Own and grow a pipeline of new mid-market and enterprise clients, with a focus on C-level and senior stakeholders

Work directly with the co-CEOs and senior consultants to position our services and eGRC platform in a way that resonates with decision-makers

Leverage our new office by helping plan and drive breakfast sessions, roundtables and small in-person events that bring the right people into the room

Maximise our presence at industry conferences and events – preparing pre-event outreach, on-the-day conversations, and post-event follow-up to turn interest into qualified opportunities

Collaborate closely with our marketing specialist on campaigns, content, webinars and event programmes that support your sales activity

Partner with our account manager to identify expansion opportunities in existing clients and ensure a smooth handover from “new logo” to “long-term relationship”

Maintain a disciplined view of the pipeline and forecast, and share structured insights back into the business so we can keep refining services and messaging
You’ll have experienced consultants around you who can go deep on technical and governance detail. Your strength will be opening doors, building trust, and guiding organisations through the buying journey.
Who This Role Will Suit
You’ll thrive in this role if you:

Have proven B2B sales / BDM experience – ideally in IT, SaaS, cyber, risk, or professional services selling managed services

Are comfortable engaging C-level and senior stakeholders, asking good questions and holding commercial conversations

Are tired of selling commoditised offerings and want something genuinely differentiated to take to market
-
Are structured, proactive and comfortable owning a number and a pipeline
-
Enjoy working in a fast-growing, founder-led environment, where decisions are quick and you can see your impact
-
Are happy to learn the nuances of cyber GRC. You don’t need to be an expert on day one, but you do need curiosity and a willingness to learn
